Houston’s Pastor Keion Henderson is said to be the TD Jakes of the new generation. Pastor “K” as he is so humbly called has started a new initiative Keion’s Korner. Keion’s Korner is an outreach program that he has vision and purpose for that will enable him to reach the 4 corners of the world. Reaching the world one Korner at a time. Pastor K will do so by spreading the gospel through Television Broadcast.
Pastor Henderson is a native of Indiana and has lived in Houston for 3 years now. In as little as 3 years he has been blessed with such an anointing he has built a congregation of over 2500 and has attracted the attention of prominent leaders such as Bishop TD Jakes, Congress woman Sheila Jackson Lee, Mayoral Candidate Ben Hall. I was able to ask Pastor K a few questions but being an advocate for prisoners and having a passion to help those in need of a fresh start after serving and completing their sentence this question was a must to get a straight forward answer for. Mocca-Couture“ I think there is a problem with not having enough “working” up to date programs in place to help prisoners-women especially that are being released from prison back into our society (Houston). Do you have any plans to put programs in place to help those in need that want to become productive working citizens again.”

Pastor K- “Actually we started a prison ministry about 2 months ago, and If I remember correctly the last time I saw you-you asked that same question to Mayoral candidate Ben Hall ..lol so it’s obvious you have a passion for it. I believe in the 21st century church and partnership. Partnership is really going to be the new major thing. Not re-inventing something but partnering with somebody who has a passion to do it. First thing I would like to do in the near future is turn the mic around and interview you and allow you to tell me-because you obviously have a passion for it, how can I be affective because the thing is I may have the stage, I may have the influence but that doesn’t mean I know everything. I’ve never been to prison nor do I have any family members that have been so I would be a student. The thing I’m good at is once I learn what the need is I can thereby put the constituency and the resources together to be effective because at the end of the day my heart is with the people so where people are hurting that’s where I want to be effective. “
